American Standard brand 7/16 course thread x 1/2 inch fib - Where to buy

Main Post:

I have an angle stop valve that has a male American Standard brand 7/16 course thread output and need to buy a American Standard brand 7/16 course thread x 1/2 inch fib such as the Lasco 10-4013 Flexible Faucet Connector, 1/2-Inch x American Standard Thread x 12-Inch, Braided Stainless Steel. Does anyone know of any online retailers or retailers in the San Francisco Bay Area that might carry this discontinued product or perhaps another brand that makes an alternative? Jackson's Hardware in San Rafael ran out. I was able to find that the SKU is 052151282156. Frederickson's in San Francisco no longer has any stock either. I had trouble finding other stores that even know that American Standard had 7/16 course thread angle stops.

Changing the angle stop valves are a last resort as I live in a large apartment complex where everyone's water would have to be shut-off. If I can source this part that is what I am going to do. I truly appreciate anyone's help in trying to source this part. The 16" Lasco 10-4017 Flexible Faucet Connector, 1/2-Inch x American Standard Thread x 16-Inch, Braided Stainless Steel could also work. The SKU is 052151282163.

Top Comment: Thank you for the replies. Crest/Good still makes small screw-on adapters, part number 347Z007, that you screw onto the existing American Standard stop valve and converts the output to standard 3/8" compression. $12.00 each - https://www.crestgood.com/

Septic - Should I be using rid-x?

Main Post:

Hi experts!!

Sorry, I'm not that familiar with septic systems. Should I be using rid-x monthly, another type of "enzyme treatment" or nothing at all?

Thank you!

5/8" x 7/8" Barbed Fitting to Replace Air Gap

Main Post:

Edit: Summary Q = What is the best/easiest way to connect a 5/8" ID rubber drain hose to a 7/8" ID rubber drain hose?

I want to replace my air gap with a high loop. I have a 5/8" ID rubber hose coming from the dishwasher to the air gap, and a 7/8" ID rubber hose from the air gap to the disposal. I thought it would be super quick and easy to simply replace the air gap with a barbed reducer coupling that is 5/8" on one side and 7/8" on the other. Unfortunately, that coupling does not seem to exist anywhere I have looked. Am I missing something? I feel like it should exist.

Is the air gap to drain hose going to a waste disposer or a "dishwasher wye tail piece" on the sink drain?
